Blogsphere "Emoticons" Resource
From WIKI for BlogSphere, a Lotus Domino Blog
The BlogSphere Template ships with a set of "ready to use" Emoticons. If you followed the Installation Instructions (look here) these Emoticons need no further configuration.
The following picture shows the Emoticons view, please note that the path to the picture may differ as this path is being changed during the configuration so it fits your environment.
To add a new Emoticon, simply use the action New Emoticon.
There are two types of Emoticons you can use: Emoticons you attach as a file to the Emoticons document or Emoticons not stored in your Blog so you place just a link to the Emoticon image.
Let's have a look at the first option:
- The Emoticon Type is Attached File
- Attach an image (You can find emoticon images on several sites, for example here: [1]
- Configure a unique trigger
- Show Trigger should be set to "YES" (if you configure "NO", the trigger will work but the Emoticon will be invisible on the web)
The second option uses an URL instead of an attached image:
- The Emoticon Type is External URL
- External URL is the full path to the external Emoticon image.
- Configure a unique trigger
- Show Trigger should be set to "YES" (if you configure "NO", the trigger will work but the Emoticon will be invisible on the web)
Once you saved your new Emoticon you can see it on your blog creating a new comment.
