Please verify that you meet the Blogsphere system requirements for using this database. For installation and configuration, you need a Lotus Domino Server (Version 6 or higher) and a Notes Client (Version 6 or higher). The Designer Clients install is recommended because you will need the Domino Administrator and the Designer Client for some of the steps listed below.

1) Download the latest version from OpenNTF.org.

2) Put a copy or a replica of the unzipped blogsphere_template.ntf in your server's data directory.

3) Launch the Admin Client (Domino Administrator) with your Admin's ID. Choose your domain and server.

4) Go to the Files tab, choose Show me "Templates only" and locate blogsphere_template.ntf. Right-click the file name and choose "Sign".

5) De-select "Update existing signatures only (faster)", then click [OK]:

6) Check the status bar to see if this message appears: "1 database processed - 0 errors". If you see any errors, you will need to check your log file to resolve the cause(s) and try again.

7) Choose File -> Database -> New (or use [Ctrl]-[N]) and choose your server, fill in a title and file name for your database, choose your server as the Template Server, select "Blogspheere Template" and click [OK].

8) Configure the new databases ACL. You (the admin) are Manager with the right to delete documents plus all Roles. Anonymous and Default is Reader access with the right to write public documents.

9) Enable Full-Text-Search for your Blog database.

10) continue with Configuring BlogSphere
